It helps to relieve symptoms of BPH such as difficulty in beginning the flow of urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate often or urgently (including during the middle of the night). Tadalafil is thought to work by relaxing the smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder.
Adult: As needed dosing: Initially, 10 mg as a single dose, taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity; may be increased to 20 mg, or decreased to 5 mg depending on patient response and tolerability. Max dosing frequency: Once daily.
May be taken with or without food.
